Inspection services for used excavators | Third-party QC Service, TUV, SGS, BV, QH
Benefits of Inspection & Product Testing:
With professional inspection services, enterprises can detect quality defects in advance, avoid delivery of defective goods, and cut extra costs & schedule delays caused by rework and scrapping.
Product inspection is an effective way for buyers and foreign trade companies to control purchasing quality. Manufacturers can also spot defects promptly, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to ensure all finished goods comply with customer specifications, stabilize overall product quality and prevent recurring problems.
Inspection Process for Used Excavators:
- Contact the supplier one day in advance to confirm the on-site inspection schedule.
- On-site arrival: Verify machine information and cross-check against client requirements.
- Full inspection: Capture photos and complete test videos for all key items.
- On-site briefing: Report all defects and abnormal conditions found during inspection before leaving the yard.
- Post-inspection delivery: Issue official English inspection report on the same day or next morning, together with 3–4 functional test videos (control system test, lighting function test, full machine movement operation test).
Free consultation, report templates and reference test videos are available via WeChat upon request.
- External Appearance Inspection
Body panels: Check all body cover panels for obvious collision marks and deformation. Pay close attention to welding seams. If weld color differs greatly from original paint or the welding surface is uneven, the machine may have undergone post-collision repair.
Glass & lamps: Inspect all glass components for cracks or breakage. Verify complete lamp assemblies, switch on all lights to test normal functionality. Check if lamps are original by matching their fitment and aging degree with the whole machine.
Tires & tracks:
– Wheeled excavators: Check tire tread depth to judge wear level; inspect tires for cracks, bulges or missing rubber blocks; confirm tight connection between tires and wheel hubs.
– Tracked excavators: Evaluate wear of track shoes and track pins; check for track breakage or deformation.
- Engine Inspection
External condition: Check engine surface for oil or coolant leaks; examine all components for missing, damaged or replaced parts, including loose screws and disassembly traces.
Running test: Start the engine and listen for smooth running without abnormal knocking or roaring noises. Observe exhaust color:
– Colorless or light gray exhaust = normal condition
– Black smoke = incomplete combustion
– Blue smoke = engine burning oil
– White smoke = coolant entering combustion chamber (major fault)
Parameter reading: Check real-time data on dashboard including rotation speed, oil pressure and water temperature to ensure all indicators stay within standard ranges. Abnormal readings indicate potential engine failure.
- Hydraulic System Inspection
Component check: Inspect hydraulic pumps, motors and cylinders for oil leakage; check aging, cracking or poor sealing of hydraulic hoses and joints.
Operation test: Carry out digging, lifting and slewing movements to ensure smooth, coordinated action without jitter, slow response or inconsistent movement; listen for abnormal hydraulic noise during operation.
Hydraulic oil check: Confirm oil level meets standard requirements; check oil clarity for impurities, discoloration or emulsification, which will damage overall hydraulic performance.
- Chassis Inspection
Main frame: Inspect the main frame for deformation and cracks by checking straightness and welding joints.
Track frame (tracked machines): Check track frames for heavy wear, bending or breakage.
Idler & drive sprocket: Ensure free rotation without abnormal wear or jamming; inspect wheel bodies for cracks and deformation.
- On-Site Operation Test
Control components: Test all joysticks and foot pedals for smooth operation without sticking or heavy resistance.
Steering & braking: Check flexible steering without abnormal noise or deviation; test reliable braking with no delay or failure risk.
Working performance: Run the machine under actual working conditions including hard soil digging, heavy load lifting and full slewing. Check for abnormal vibration or noise during all operations.
- Documentation & Ownership Verification
Certificates: Cross-check factory certificate to confirm machine model and production date match the physical unit; verify original purchase invoice with consistent pricing and transaction date.
Ownership documents: Check complete and valid vehicle registration, annual inspection records to confirm legal source without property disputes. Review maintenance and service logs to track full usage history of the excavator.
